Step A:

Step B:
Press the ready button on your keypad (* key) and note the zone numbers that appear on your keypad. Check the corresponding zone description on the inside of your keypad door and secure those secured points - when all points have been secured your green ready light should now be lit and the system is ready to arm
Step C:
There are three ways to arm your system. When your green ready lamp is lit, press an effective four digit code and then press stay(3) to arm your system with interior zones bypassed and perimeter points engaged or press away (2) to have all permiter and interior protection engaged.
Alternatively you can also press # + (3) stay or # + (2) away to quick arm your system once the green ready lamp is lit. Or lastly, if you have a 6150 series keypad you can simply hold down the away or stay key on the far left of your keypad until you hear a beep (approximatley 3 seconds). You will recognize that you have a 6150 keypad because on the far left you have the four buttons marked as POLICE, FIRE, AWAY and STAY in that order. - How do I test my system to make sure it works?

See below for a link to a your manual you can save or print from your computer. - What other things can I protect my home or business from?
Further to securing your home or business for burglary and theft we can monitor for many other things. Specifically we can monitor for fire through monitored smoke detectors that are integrated into your alarm systems. Unlike battery operated and builder code smoke detectors these integrated monitored smoke detectors can contact our 24 hour monitoring center who would dispatch your local fire department. This would help to reduce the damage to your home from an extensive fire that goes undetected for a long period of time. Moreover, most insurance companies give further discount on your home insurance plan for adding monitored smoke detectors to your alarm system.

Yes, one of the added value type services we offer is a regularly mailed report to your computer providing detailed information of times and dates when your alarm system communicated with our monitoring station. This report will also provide the type of communication including arming and disarming sequences, alarms, low batteries, the time, date and user who operated the system.
To inquire or receive this report contact us at 905-828-9948 or by email at securityconsult@safewatchsecurity.ca - I am having trouble remembering my code, is there an easier way to disarm my alarm system without always having to remember my code?
YES, your alarm system can be equiped with a wireless receiver allowing it to receive wireless signals from different types of remote controls. This remote control would allow you to arm, disarm and transmit panic alarm signals from a 50 foot perimeter around your home. Along with the use of your regular keypad, this remote provides the ability to not have to use the keypad with a code to operate your alarm system.

YES. With our connection to state of the art alarm systems from HONEYWELL and DSC, we can install motion detectors that are immune to pets up to 80 lbs. In fact, our free alarm package comes standard with a motion sensor that is immune to pets up to 40lbs. Also we have the option of installing dual audio glass break detectors which operate differently from motion sensors in that they listen for sound instead of movement which can also be an effective pet immmune technology while still providing excellent perimeter security to your home.
